The ICM project wishes to change the lives of children not only physically but also mentally;

so that a little one can show beyond the extreme condition.

When childhood meets poverty, a situation of extreme vulnerability is created, which requires urgent and lasting intervention: what International Children's Mission tries to provide, showing practical love

and constant commitment.

When confronted with poverty, two tremendous truths must be recognized, difficult to accept, but which determine the ICM approach.

In countries where illiteracy reigns and where the average life expectancy is 45 or 50 years, unfortunately helping adults often becomes just an act of subsistence, too late to change the course of their lives and the fate of their families.

Children are the main victims of poverty: starting to help them as soon as possible means, first of all, preventing them from dying and then growing up without alternatives and without hope.

For this ICM has decided to help children, and to do so through subsistence tools, literacy courses, professional courses, providing them with tools and means for self-subsistence. It may not be possible to change the world, but it is possible to change a child's life by preventing it from being considered lost even before it begins!
